Angelenos for Green Schools partnered with the PTO at Mid City’s Prescott School for Enriched Sciences to plant the first micro forest on an LAUSD campus in November, 2023. Katherine Pakradouni from Seed to Landscape, cultivated the plants from locally sourced seeds gathered in Los Angeles, filling the 900-square-foot forest with 19 native species. This dense, biodiverse oasis not only attracts local and migrating wildlife but also creates outdoor learning opportunities for students.
